In 1682 days after arriving back in Philadelphia, William Penn made a treaty with the Leni Lenape tribe to purchase his grant of land from them. There was no law requiring William Penn to purchase this grant of land. He said that the treaty would last "as long as water flows and the sun shines and grass grows" This says a alot for William Penn and the Native Americans, considering the way the other European settlers treated the Native Americans.
